Automotive Mass Air Flow (MAF) Sensors Market: Comprehensive Evaluation Of The Market Via In-Depth Qualitative Insights

Automotive mass air flow (MAF) sensors are one of the chief components of the electronic fuel injection system in an automobile. The MAF sensor is installed between the intake manifold and air filter of the car engine. The main function of the MAF sensor is to measure the mass air flow or the amount of air that enters an internal combustion engine. Information related to mass air flow in an engine is necessary for the engine control unit for balancing and delivering the correct fuel mass to the engine. In the automobile applications, air density varies with respect to the use of forced induction, ambient temperature and altitude.

Therefore, mass air flow sensors are more appropriate in automotive applications in comparison to volumetric flow sensors for the purpose of determining the quantity of air intake in each cylinder. Mass air flow sensors do not have any moving parts, unlike a vane air flow meter which uses a sprig loaded flop. MAF sensors make use of electrical current to measure airflow. In many cases, intake air temperature sensor and oxygen sensor is also installed along with the mass air flow sensor. When mass air flow sensor function in conjunction with an oxygen sensor, the air/fuel ratio of the engine can be accurately monitored and controlled.

The global automotive mass air flow sensors market is being primarily driven by the benefits offered by these sensors including, improved engine performance, superior engine control, fast response time, high resistance and durability and low airflow restriction among others. Further, increasing vehicle production globally is strongly boosting the market growth of MAF sensors. However, common signs of problems associated with mass air flow sensors include running lean under load or rich at idle, rough stalls and decrease in fuel efficiency.

The global automotive mass air flow (MAF) sensors market can be segmented on the basis of types into hot wire and hot film. Despite being slightly different in design, both these types of MAF sensors measure the density and volume of entering the engine in order to calculate the amount of fuel required to maintain the proper fuel mixture. Hot-wire type of mass air flow sensors are most commonly used in the modern automobiles owing to the benefits associated with this type including, low airflow restriction, smaller overall packages, quick response to changes in airflow, low cost and no requirement for separate temperature and pressure sensors among others.

Based on the design of MAF sensors, the market can be bifurcated into variable voltage output (analog) design and frequency output (digital) design. Both these designs work on the hot wire principle and their operation is similar. The outputs from both can be measured using a scanner or a dvom (digital volt/ohm) meter which can measure frequency.

The global automotive mass air flow (MAF) sensors market can be further classified geographically into North America, Europe, Asia Pacific, South America and Middle East and Africa. There is strong growth potential for the market in the emerging countries of Asia Pacific, Latin America and the Middle East. Asia Pacific is projected to be the fastest growing market for automotive intake manifolds during the forecast period, with China and Japan being the main contributors to the market in this region.

Aerospace Window Frame Market: Global Industry Analysis, Size, Share, Growth, Trends, and Forecast

Aerospace window frames are used in the cockpit windshields and passenger cabin windows to provide rigidity to the windows. Metal window frame is used widely in aircrafts. Increase demand of cockpit windshield frame in different countries such as India, Brazil and China among others is the one of the major factor boosting the market for aerospace window frame during the forecast period of 2017 – 2025. Based on aircraft type, the global aerospace window frame market is segmented into wide body aircraft, narrow body aircraft, very large aircraft, general aviation and regional aircraft. Among various aircraft types, in 2016, the wide body aircraft segment is estimated to be the major market followed by very large aircraft and expected to be the same during the forecast period of 2017 – 2025. Increasing regional and commercial aircraft deliveries is expected to be one of the major factor fueling the regional aircraft segment in global aerospace window frame market during the fo...

Low Power Display Market: Projection of Each Major Segment over the Forecast Period 2017 - 2025

Low power display technology is treated separately from our modern world. High resolution displays with low power are considered by many consumers to represent the low power display technology. The development in optoelectronics and nanotechnology has changed the low power display market . The low power display market consumes of less power than plasma technologies and cathode ray tube (CRT). Low-power features have become essential for liquid crystal displays (LCDs) due to environmental concerns. The technology that saves energy by decreasing the power consumption of the backlight unit in a display panel is considered in in low power display technology.  A low refresh-rate technology was introduced in order to further minimize power consumption in the display panel. The low refresh-rate was achieved by employing oxide thin-film transistors (Ox-TFTs) with extremely low leakage currents. However, flicker may be visible due to the current leakage through the liqu...

Light Weapons Market: Key Players and Production Information analysis with Forecast 2025

Light weapons are weapons which are used by two or three persons serving as a crew, although some of them may be carried and used by a single person. Light weapons are basically used by militaries around the world and its applications have increased widely among armed groups. They include, inter alia, heavy machine guns, hand-held under-barrel and mounted grenade launchers, portable anti-aircraft guns, portable anti-tank guns, recoilless rifles, portable launchers of anti-tank missile and rocket systems, portable launchers of anti-aircraft missile systems as well as mortars of a caliber of less than 100 millimeters. The latest generation of light weapons is more destructive, more portable, and generally more competent than older systems, raising concerns about their uncontrolled generation. Light weapons are represented by their durability, cost effectiveness, accessibility and utility. In terms of military and non-military demand, such criteria perfectly match the needs of those who...
