Time of Flight Sensor Market: Industry Analysis, Opportunity Assessment and Forecast upto 2026

Time of Flight is the new electronic technology used for depth sensing application. ToF has mostly deployed for the highly pinpoint distance mapping and 3D imaging technology. The sensors used for such imaging technology are commonly known as 3D depth sensors or ToF sensors that emits a short infrared light pulse and measures the return time of the reflected light signal from the object. Low Latency, ease of use, direct depth data with minimum post processing, excellent integration and high sensitivity makes TOF sensors the best solution for a wide range of applications.

The basic principle of the Time-of-Flight sensors involves the sending out a light signal and measuring a property of the reflected signal from the object. The measured property is used to calculate the Time of Flight. The distance is obtained via multiplying the time of flight and the velocity of the signal in the application medium.

The light source is pulsed by a continuous wave, basically a square or sinusoid wave to detect the phase shifts between the transmitted light and the reflected light. Due to easy realization using digital circuit, the square wave modulation is more common. Further, using an ordinary CMOS process, the depth sensor is implemented in a single chip. Its depth resolution is in the order of a few millimeters, and does not require any computationally complex post-processing.

Simple structure and speed are key constraints for the product demand in market. The growing demand from various end use industries such as consumer electronics, automotive, industrial, healthcare among others is said to be the primary driver for the growth of the Time of Flight sensor market. Time-of-flight sensors are used in safety functions for automotive applications such as precrash detection, active pedestrian safety and indoor applications. However, the background light, interference and multiple reflection associated with the ToF sensor is anticipated to hinder the Time of Flight sensor market growth.

Aerospace Window Frame Market: Global Industry Analysis, Size, Share, Growth, Trends, and Forecast

Aerospace window frames are used in the cockpit windshields and passenger cabin windows to provide rigidity to the windows. Metal window frame is used widely in aircrafts. Increase demand of cockpit windshield frame in different countries such as India, Brazil and China among others is the one of the major factor boosting the market for aerospace window frame during the forecast period of 2017 – 2025. Based on aircraft type, the global aerospace window frame market is segmented into wide body aircraft, narrow body aircraft, very large aircraft, general aviation and regional aircraft. Among various aircraft types, in 2016, the wide body aircraft segment is estimated to be the major market followed by very large aircraft and expected to be the same during the forecast period of 2017 – 2025. Increasing regional and commercial aircraft deliveries is expected to be one of the major factor fueling the regional aircraft segment in global aerospace window frame market during the fo...

Low Power Display Market: Projection of Each Major Segment over the Forecast Period 2017 - 2025

Low power display technology is treated separately from our modern world. High resolution displays with low power are considered by many consumers to represent the low power display technology. The development in optoelectronics and nanotechnology has changed the low power display market . The low power display market consumes of less power than plasma technologies and cathode ray tube (CRT). Low-power features have become essential for liquid crystal displays (LCDs) due to environmental concerns. The technology that saves energy by decreasing the power consumption of the backlight unit in a display panel is considered in in low power display technology.  A low refresh-rate technology was introduced in order to further minimize power consumption in the display panel. The low refresh-rate was achieved by employing oxide thin-film transistors (Ox-TFTs) with extremely low leakage currents. However, flicker may be visible due to the current leakage through the liqu...

Light Weapons Market: Key Players and Production Information analysis with Forecast 2025

Light weapons are weapons which are used by two or three persons serving as a crew, although some of them may be carried and used by a single person. Light weapons are basically used by militaries around the world and its applications have increased widely among armed groups. They include, inter alia, heavy machine guns, hand-held under-barrel and mounted grenade launchers, portable anti-aircraft guns, portable anti-tank guns, recoilless rifles, portable launchers of anti-tank missile and rocket systems, portable launchers of anti-aircraft missile systems as well as mortars of a caliber of less than 100 millimeters. The latest generation of light weapons is more destructive, more portable, and generally more competent than older systems, raising concerns about their uncontrolled generation. Light weapons are represented by their durability, cost effectiveness, accessibility and utility. In terms of military and non-military demand, such criteria perfectly match the needs of those who...
