Probe Card Market: Comprehensive Evaluation Of The Market Via In-Depth Qualitative Insights

A probe card is an edge between an electronic test system and semiconductor wafer. It is used to check quality of IC’s or LSI in the first process of semiconductor manufacturing. Typically, the probe card is mechanically docked to a prober and electrically connected to a tester. The main function of a probe card is to provide an electrical path between the test system and the circuits on the wafer, where the circuits can be tested and validated. The main parts that are included in a probe cards are PCB (printed circuit board) and some forms of contact elements.

There are new probe cards needed for each and every new wafer that is manufactured by the semiconductor manufacturer. Even if the size of the instrument shrinks in future then there had to be new probe cards used in those instruments. This is because probe card is effectively a custom connector that takes the universal pattern of a given tester and translates the signals to connect to electrical pads on the wafer. These pads can be manufactured with different materials such as copper, copper alloys or many types of solders such as lead-tin, tin-silver and others. For testing of DRAM and flash memory probe cards are made up of aluminum. Probe cards can be manufactured in different ways according to their purpose of usage, shape and forms of contact elements such as, needle type, vertical type, or MEMS (Micro Electro-Mechanical System). MEMS can test an entire 12 wafer with one touchdown and they are the most trending and mostly used probe cards.

There are several important factors related to the probe card market that are responsible for the growth of the market. It can be seen that the semiconductor and electronics industries are trying to shrink the size of the instruments and devices. This leads to change in shape and sizes of electronic devices and as a result of this new and advanced testing technology and devices are needed, this helps in boosting the probe card market during forecast period.

Innovative electronic technologies in which an electrical connection passes through a silicon wafer and are used to create 3D ICs such as Through-Silicon Via (TSV), are increasing the needs testing, which ultimately increases the probe card market. However, there are also some factors related to these probe cards that can hinder the overall market such as, There can be continuous test failures and functional test failure at the time of probe card usage. Comprehensively competitive semiconductor testing industry in terms of pricing and margins. So the high cost related to the probe card can also hamper the probe card market.

Aerospace Window Frame Market: Global Industry Analysis, Size, Share, Growth, Trends, and Forecast

Aerospace window frames are used in the cockpit windshields and passenger cabin windows to provide rigidity to the windows. Metal window frame is used widely in aircrafts. Increase demand of cockpit windshield frame in different countries such as India, Brazil and China among others is the one of the major factor boosting the market for aerospace window frame during the forecast period of 2017 – 2025. Based on aircraft type, the global aerospace window frame market is segmented into wide body aircraft, narrow body aircraft, very large aircraft, general aviation and regional aircraft. Among various aircraft types, in 2016, the wide body aircraft segment is estimated to be the major market followed by very large aircraft and expected to be the same during the forecast period of 2017 – 2025. Increasing regional and commercial aircraft deliveries is expected to be one of the major factor fueling the regional aircraft segment in global aerospace window frame market during the fo...

Low Power Display Market: Projection of Each Major Segment over the Forecast Period 2017 - 2025

Low power display technology is treated separately from our modern world. High resolution displays with low power are considered by many consumers to represent the low power display technology. The development in optoelectronics and nanotechnology has changed the low power display market . The low power display market consumes of less power than plasma technologies and cathode ray tube (CRT). Low-power features have become essential for liquid crystal displays (LCDs) due to environmental concerns. The technology that saves energy by decreasing the power consumption of the backlight unit in a display panel is considered in in low power display technology.  A low refresh-rate technology was introduced in order to further minimize power consumption in the display panel. The low refresh-rate was achieved by employing oxide thin-film transistors (Ox-TFTs) with extremely low leakage currents. However, flicker may be visible due to the current leakage through the liqu...

Light Weapons Market: Key Players and Production Information analysis with Forecast 2025

Light weapons are weapons which are used by two or three persons serving as a crew, although some of them may be carried and used by a single person. Light weapons are basically used by militaries around the world and its applications have increased widely among armed groups. They include, inter alia, heavy machine guns, hand-held under-barrel and mounted grenade launchers, portable anti-aircraft guns, portable anti-tank guns, recoilless rifles, portable launchers of anti-tank missile and rocket systems, portable launchers of anti-aircraft missile systems as well as mortars of a caliber of less than 100 millimeters. The latest generation of light weapons is more destructive, more portable, and generally more competent than older systems, raising concerns about their uncontrolled generation. Light weapons are represented by their durability, cost effectiveness, accessibility and utility. In terms of military and non-military demand, such criteria perfectly match the needs of those who...
